OU & OSU will operate with full stadium capacity for NCAA Regional softball games

The University of Oklahoma will open to 100 percent capacity for this weekend's NCAA Softball Norman Regional.

The school announced the update following the NCAA's announcement Wednesday that full capacity would be permitted at baseball and softball championships where local and state guidelines allow.


Oklahoma State will also host a four-team softball regional at full capacity.



OSU did allow full capacity for the Cowgirls' regular-season finale against the Sooners in the Bedlam series.

Oklahoma will operate at 100% capacity for this weekend’s NCAA Softball Norman Regional, the school announced on Wednesday.

OU also announced, in addition to full capacity, the mask requirement and social distancing protocols, in accordance with updated CDC guidelines, will be lifted.

Masking will no longer be required at campus events for fully vaccinated individuals 12 years and older with limited exceptions.

Additional tickets for the Norman Regional will go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday. Tickets can be purchased vis SoonerSports.com/tickets or by calling the OU Athletics ticket office at 405-325-2424.
