The NBA is reviewing a confrontation between Oklahoma City Thunder star Russell Westbrook and a fan who walked onto the court in Denver Thursday.

After a narrow loss to the Nuggets, Westbrook was walking off the court when a fan got in front of him and into his face, video shows. The fan appears to yell at Westbrook, who then pushes the fan's shoulder.

Security then stepped in as Westbrook dons a confused look on his face, likely wondering why the fan was there.

"The fans are obviously there to enjoy the game, but they can't come onto the floor. That's totally unacceptable," Westbrook said after the game, ESPN reports.

Westbrook reportedly said he shoved the fan because he felt it was the only way to defend himself.
