The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced a recall of chicken and beef products from Custom Culinary, Inc., of Oswego, Ill.
The products are chicken and beef soup bases that were packaged on May 25, 2017 and shipped across the nation. Labels on the products may identify the product as chicken, but there could be beef in the jar.
The FSIS says the products are:
- 6-lb. corrugate case "Molly's Kitchen Soup Base Paste Beef Base Paste - NO MSG Added with a lot code of 72505 239497 or 72505 239498.
- 1-lb. white plastic jars of "Molly's Kitchen Chicken Base Paste / 301817 / No MSG Added with a lot code of 72505 239497 or 72505 239498
The jars have either "EST. 2016" or "EST. P-1278" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
There have been no adverse reactions from consuming the products have been reported. The products should not be eaten and should be thrown away or returned to the retailer.
