TPD: Man shot, killed in argument at midtown apartment

Tulsa police say a man is dead and another in custody after a shooting at an apartment complex near 21st and Sheridan Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the scene around 2 a.m.

Police say two men were hanging out and drinking early Monday night when they got into a fight. The suspect, 23-year-old Jerod Goolsby, went to his car and came back with a gun.

Police say Goolsby fired two shots.

The victim, 26-year-old Kendale Wright, had a gunshot wound in the neck. He died on the way to the hospital.

Goolsby is now facing first-degree murder charges.


Goolsby was located at another apartment at the complex. He surrendered and is cooperating with police.

Officers interviewed multiple witnesses.
