Shooting just north of the Capitol claims one life

The Oklahoma City police say one person has died after a shooting late Friday night.

The shooting happened about 10:30 p.m., according to police, near NE 33rd St. and Lincoln Blvd. just north of the Oklahoma State Capitol building. A white van carrying three people was traveling south when a second vehicle came up beside it. Shots were fired from the second vehicle into the van striking a passenger in the rear of the van.

The victim, police say, was taken to a hospital where they died.

The investigation into the shooting is continuing, the other two people in the van were unable to give a suspect description to police.
