Coffeyville police investigating triple shooting; 17-year-old among the deceased

Kim Bell and Reginald Johnson were two of three people found shot to death at a Coffeyville home April 13, 2017. A 17-year-old has yet to be identified.

Coffeyville police are investigating a triple shooting in which a teenager was killed Thursday night.

Officers were called to 2nd and Maple just after 10 p.m. Thursday where they found three people shot to death.

Police have identified the deceased as 50-year-old Reginald Johnson and 47-year-old Kimberly Bell, both of Coffeyville, and a 17-year-old boy who has not been identified.

Johnson's family says the two were dating but Bell's family says otherwise. It's not yet clear how the 17-year-old is connected to Johnson or Bell.

"No motive for the shooting has been determined," said Police Chief Kwin Bromley. "At this time no other individuals are being investigated regarding this incident."

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is assisting Coffeyville police and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department with the investigation.

According to KBI, investigators believe that gunshots were exchanged between two of the individuals and there are no other suspects.
