The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reports the arrest of a Woodward Police Department detective.
Patrick Gandara, 47, was arrested on Friday, according to Jessica Brown, the OSBI public information officer. Gandara is facing a charge of sexual abuse of a child. OSBI opened the investigation into the police detective in mid July, according to reports.
The Woodward News is reporting that Woodward Police Chief Curt Terry says Gandara has been suspended from duty with pay.
Gandara was booked into the Ellis County Jail.
The detective has worked with the Woodward Police Department since 2013.
