Update: The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office said Lawrence Lewis is in custody thanks to the Guthrie Police Department and Logan County Sheriff's Office.
Lewis will be picked up and brought to the Oklahoma County Jail.
The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office (OKCOSO) have identified two suspects in a robbery that happened in the 2700 block of E. Waterloo Rd., near Coltrane Road, on Saturday night about 9 p.m.
Investigators say that 30-year-old Lawrence Lewis and 23-year-old Alexis Nugent started their crimes first in North Texas with stealing a car and leading police on a pursuit that made their way to Oklahoma.
Once the two reached Ardmore, police say they stole another vehicle and drove up to Deer Creek where they committed an armed robbery. The Logan County Sheriff's Deputies and Oklahoma Highway Patrol got into a pursuit with them and were able to take Nugent into custody. The other suspect, Lewis, was able to get away in the area of I-35 and Seward Road and is still on the run.
A social media posting by the OKCOSO says the "suspect stole the clerk's purse and car" and then the "Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Logan County Sheriff's Office got into a short pursuit with the driver of the stolen vehicle at I-35 & Seward Road. A female was take into custody, but the male suspect ran off on foot and law enforcement is searching for him."
Nugent is in the Oklahoma County jail on a complaint of accessory to armed robbery. If you have information regarding Lewis' whereabouts , call 911.
