The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, is coming to Tulsa to tour an elementary school on Monday.
But which school?
Well, that’s still a mystery.
Tulsa’s Channel 8 reached out to all of the surrounding school districts in the Tulsa area, and every one of them told us they hadn’t heard anything about FLOTUS coming to their school.
Even Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum was tight lipped.
“I heard about it, just from a security stand point as they start preparing for these trips,” said Bynum.
The school she’ll be touring is being kept quiet for security reasons, according to her media folks.
“I don’t know why the First Lady picked to come to Tulsa out of the whole country, but I’m thankful she did,” said Bynum.
Though we may not know what school it is, Bynum said the fact that she’s coming to Tulsa is something everyone can be proud of.
“A reminder that there are really special things happening in schools right now,” said Bynum. “I think it’s natural for us to focus on ways for us to improve, but we shouldn’t lose sight of the great things that are happening for kids in Tulsa.”
Bynum said FLOTUS is bringing the national spotlight to Tulsa, and it’s Tulsa’s time to shine.
