Candidate filing for statewide offices has ended

The Oklahoma State Election Board is reporting the end of the filing period for offices in the state has ended. The board reports a total of 794 candidates filed with 194 filing on Friday, the final day.

Fourteen candidates have filed for the governor's office:

  • Democrat: Connie Johnson, Drew Edmondson
  • Republican: Barry Gowdy, Gary Richardson, Christopher Barnett, Mick Cornett, Dan Fisher, Todd G. Lamb, Kevin Stitt, Eric Foutch, Gary A. Jones, Blake Cowboy Stephens
  • Libertarian: Joe Exotic, Chris Powell, Rex L Lawhorn

If a candidate wishes to challenge another candidates qualification they have until Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. The State Election Board will hear the challenges on Monday, April 23rd at the State Capitol.
