Tulsa police say a man is now in jail after a joint investigating involving sexual activity with a teenager.
Police say members of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations (OSBI) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations Task Force, a Tulsa Police Child Crisis Detective and Cyber Crimes Detective received a tip that a 15-year-old female was communicating with a 42-year-old man in Sperry using the internet.
The communication suggested that the juvenile female and the adult male had a sexual relationship.
Detectives with the Tulsa Police Department Child Crisis Unit and Cyber Crimes Unit were able to locate the victim.
With the help of OSBI ICAC Agents, FBI Task Force Officers, and Homeland Security Investigations Task Force officers and agents a search warrant was granted for the suspect's home.
During the investigations, police say several items of evidence was collected and led to the arrest of 42-year-old Thomas Daughtry.
Daughtry was arrested and booked into the Osage County Jail on complaints of second-degree rape, lewd proposal to a minor child, lewd proposal to a minor child using technology, and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
