While celebrating his daughter's acceptance to the University of Southern California -- hip hop luminary Doctor Dre threw shade at other rich families caught up in a college admissions scandal.

The rapper, whose real name is Andre Young, posted a picture with his daughter, Truly Young, and her acceptance letter.

He wrote: "My daughter got accepted into USC all on her own. No jail time!!!!"

It's a thinly veiled reference to dozens of parents now facing federal charges after accusations they lied and cheated to get their children into prestigious schools... including the University of Southern California.

But many people pointed out that in 2013, Doctor Dre and producer Jimmy Iovine donated 70-million dollars to establish the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation.

Dre has since deleted the post.
